Beaches / Piers

The 'main' beach in this beautiful part of the world stretches from the mouth of Poole Harbour all around Poole Bay to the mouth of Christchurch harbour at Hengistbury Head, although it changes name (Sandbanks, Bournemouth, Boscombe) as well as harbouring a number of cliffs and 'chines' as well as 2 piers - Bournemouth and Boscombe!

On the other side of Poole Harbour entrance, the beach continues as the sheltered and unspoilt Shell Bay & Studland beaches, surrounded by National Trust land and providing a picturesque introduction to the Isle of Purbeck.
